We went up the Milwaukee Art Museum to see the opening of the “Of Heaven and Earth” show casing 500 Years of Italian Painting from Glasgow Museums. The exhibit will run from October 2, 2014 through January 4, 2015. It was mind blowing to stand so close to a painting that was touched by a master 500 to 600 years ago. The colors are incredible and simply cannot be reproduced in print to match the originals. Well worth the trip, in my opinion.
Photography is not allowed in the Heaven & Earth gallery, but we got a few snaps of the rest the museum, to include a gorgeous piece by Dale Chihuly called the Isola di San Giacomo in Palude Chandelier II.
